Premier League Newcomers Burnley Sign Striker Jutkiewicz

Newly-promoted Barclays Premier League side Burnley have signed striker Lukas Jutkiewicz from Middlesbrough.

“We’re looking forward to getting him into the group and making him feel welcome here,” said Dyche.

“I still think there is development in Lukas. He has been around a little bit now and finished last season very strongly.”

Jutkiewicz is Burnley’s sicth signing of the summer, following the recruitment of Steven Reid, Michael Knightly, Matt Gilks, Marvin Sordell and Matt Taylor.

He started his career at Swindon and joined Everton aged 18, in 2007 before moving to Conventry City in 2010, after making just an appearance for the Toffees.

He joined Boro in 2012 and had a four-month loan spell at Bolton Wanderers last season, and was touted by Wigan and Derby County before joining Burnley.

Jutkiewicz can play internationally for England, his birth place, Poland or the Republic of Ireland, through his grandparent.
