NAFDAC Shuts Fake Clinic In Taraba

National Agency for Food, Drugs and Administration Control (NAFDAC), Taraba State chapter has closed down a fake clinic known as Bondima Hyparitoviral Disease Centre for allegedly deceiving people that they had a cure for hepatitis.

The state coordinator of NAFDAC, Joseph Asikpo, who stated this yesterday in Jalingo during an interview with newsmen Weekend, said the closure of the clinic followed series of complaints in some quarters that the owner of the clinic, Richard Anyah, had been deceiving the general public of being a specialist in the treatment of hepatitis and other viral diseases.

Asikpo, who said the primary aim of NAFDAC is to create awareness as well as enlighten the general populace on the importance of living a healthy life, maintained that NAFDAC is also mandated to safeguard the health of the people.
