Vagina hygiene after sex is essential for proper health and to prevent infection. Here are tips from experts on how to maintain proper vagina hygiene after sexual intercourse. 1. Always try to urinate

every time you engage in sexual intercourse. This will prevent any bacteria from breeding that may be close to the urethra, and also avoid bacteria migrating to the kidneys to cause infection.

2. If you have to wipe or clean the vagina with toilet paper, do it carefully to avoid carrying bacteria from the anus or rectum into the vagina.

3. Wash the vagina with a clean washcloth and warm water, especially after unprotected sex.

4. If you are menstruating, then you might need to add a little odour free toilet soap to ensure through cleaning.

5. Do not re-use a condom after a sexual intercourse

6. Do not also re-use a wet wash cloth as there could be some bacteria already breeding in there.

7. After washing, allow the vagina to dry before putting on your very clean underwear. This is to avoid creating a wet environment for bacteria to breed within the vagina.
